How to get started with @WORK

@WORK is a digital space for organizational work and collaboration.

Finding your organization

To avoid duplicate organizations, it's a good idea to check if it's already created by a colleague.
  1. Write your organizations name in the search bar at the top and click enter.
  2. Click on your organization if you see it. If you don't see your organization, it might not be created.
  3. In the new tab, click "Join as an employee". This will create a request that the owner needs to accept in order for you to join.

Creating your organization

In @WORK, organizations can create the governance rooms they need to run and manage their organization. Governance rooms help organizations identify and implement necessary decisions in pursuit of their objectives. Each organization creates the governance rooms they need to help them manage or grow their organization, i.e. board room, management team room, accounts and reporting room, and investor room.

  1. To create an organization, go to My news feed and click on "Get started with @WORK" at the bottom right-hand side.
  2. Fill in your organizations name, the organization identity number, and which country it's located in. Remember to click next.
  3. Your organization is now created and governance is ready to use. The next step is to decide if you want to create your first workspace.

Workspaces

Workspaces is where you find workrooms. This is where you collaborate with your colleagues and work on projects, groups and contracts. When creating a workspace, you can start off by creating subtypes and categories to organize workrooms. Click on "Create subtypes and categories" from the getting started guide or if you are the administrator of the workspace, go to settings > workrooms > Project/Contract/Group settings.

Subtypes are used to break things up into more manageable pieces. The subtypes you create are used as filters that make it easier to find the projects, contracts and groups you are after.
Examples of project subtypes:
  • Internal project
  • Customer project
  • Innovation project
  • Sales and marketing project

Categories are often used to group workrooms, regardless of what subtype it is. Categories can also be used as filter, making it easier to find the information you are looking for.
Project category example:
  • Status
    • Planned project
    • Active project
    • Completed project

After creating your subtypes and categories, register your projects, contracts and groups in the workroom tab. Simply click the New Contract, Group or Project at the top left-hand side to register a workroom.
